Meet Charlie Bannerman, an honest man, a criminal. A likeable chap, a well educated chancer capable of planning with ruthless effect. A committed lover open to any infidelity with a cutie, a gentle man switchable in a beat to instant ferocious violence. A good friend who won't hesitate to commit murder. A nice man, a charmer...

The Charlie Bannerman stories are fun, violent, funny, sexy and exciting. But just remember, it is the early eighties so pretty much everything is totally politically incorrect. If you have high pc standards, are a sensitive soul and easily offended it might be best to stay away! The stories are pacy, easy to read, laugh out loud and written with the authors tongue only slightly in his cheek.

Charlie survives. He reappears for more wild adventure in the second story, "Charlie Gets in Big". And now, at last, Charlie has his opportunity to make his fortune doing something he knows he just cannot do. Using skills which he knows he doesn't really have. It's a problem, but there must be a solution. And Charlie finds his solution in the usual place. It's always action. But naturally, for Charlie, things don't go quite as he planned.
The trouble is they never do...

It is summer 1981, Charlie Bannerman a small time London chancer on the fringe of the underworld is desperate to make it big. In an unexpected drama he grabs an opportunity. At this point Charlie's life is no longer his own and stuff happens... Charlie wants a fortune and anyway he is most definitely trapped so what else can he do? And let's face it, he's an active kind of man. When it comes to the point, the absolute point, Charlie shows just how active he can in fact be.

Charlie's problems never stop and in "Charlie's Fin du Debut" he may be doing things that make it all worse. Oh Charlie! When will you learn? The struggle goes on and Charlie faces problem after problem. But this is the eighties, the proper beginning of real feminism and real girl power. Charlie's long suffering girlfriend, the stunningly delicious Sabrina shows her mettle. The fact is, when Sabrina stands by her man things most definitely take a turn. And Charlie is nearly there, so very nearly there...

Look, if it's fun for me then it's worth it. If it entertains me then possibly it may entertain others. If I can express truth within that entertainment then I feel I have done something a bit special. For those few who are entertained and also see that truth, well that's the very, very hard bit.
